From Our Owners

In their own words.

A few of the people who brought a Halo chamber home — and into their practice.

I'm very impressed with the quality. We ran the chamber to full pressure and time — 100% successful. We'll be running our new research clinic officially in June, and I'm already ordering the two-person chamber.

Resources

Understand the basics.

Straightforward answers about how pressurized environments work — no hype, no promises.

The Principle

What pressure actually does

At normal atmospheric pressure, most of the oxygen you breathe rides on hemoglobin in your red blood cells. Raising the ambient pressure increases how much oxygen dissolves directly into the blood plasma — a straightforward physical relationship described by Henry's Law, the same principle behind carbonation in a sealed bottle.

The Measure

Reading ATA

ATA stands for"atmospheres absolute." Sea level is 1.0 ATA. A chamber at 2.0 ATA holds twice the pressure of sea level — roughly equivalent to being 33 feet underwater. Soft-shell chambers typically reach about 1.3–1.5 ATA; rigid shells are what make a true 2.0 ATA possible.

The History

Where it came from

Pressurized chambers date to the 1600s and were formalized in the 20th century for divers ascending too quickly. That heritage is why the engineering standards around pressure vessels, relief valves, and controlled ascent are as mature as they are — and why a chamber's build quality matters more than its marketing.

The Session

What a session looks like

You get in, settle into the recliner, and the chamber pressurizes gradually over several minutes — you'll feel your ears equalize, much like a plane's descent. Most owners run 60–90 minutes and spend it reading, working, or asleep. Depressurization is equally gradual.

Soft vs. Hard

Choosing a shell

Soft-shell chambers are inflatable, lighter, more portable, and less expensive — they top out around 1.3–1.5 ATA. Rigid nickel-steel shells cost more and weigh considerably more, but they're what allow a full 2.0 ATA, a quieter cabin, integrated climate control, and a proper seat.

Doing Your Homework

Questions worth asking

Ask any brand for the shell material, the true maximum ATA, the cabin noise figure, and who issued their certifications. Ask whether the oxygen is generated on demand or requires cylinder deliveries. Ask what the warranty covers and where replacement parts ship from. Vague answers are an answer.

Questions

FAQ

How loud is it?
The cabin itself is library-quiet — ≤20 dB inside our hard-shell chambers. Quiet enough to read, work, or sleep through a session.
Will it fit in my space?
Each chamber ships as two crates — the chamber and its host unit. Exact dimensions vary by model and are confirmed on your design call, matched to your room, doorways, and ceiling height before anything ships.
Does it need special power or plumbing?
No plumbing, no construction. The Soft runs on a standard household outlet at 850W. Hard model requirements are confirmed on your design call, and every unit ships with the correct plug for your region.
How does a session work?
Get in, settle in, choose a preset or set your own pressure and duration. The chamber pressurizes gradually — most owners read, rest, or listen to music.
What does delivery look like?
Fully managed, white-glove, door to door. Our team handles everything from the factory to your room of choice.
Financing options?
Flexible financing is available on all three chambers. HSA/FSA eligibility — ask our team on your design call.
Delivery timeline?
Our hard-shell chambers are built to order — roughly 10 to 13 weeks door to door, including production and fully-managed DDP delivery. The Halo Aero soft chamber is stocked and ships considerably faster. Your exact window is documented and locked at deposit.

Every Halo chamber is built in a facility holding the certifications below, each issued by an accredited third party. Full documentation available on request.
